Abstract
This research analyzes the factorial structure of the Leisure Coping Belief Scale (LCBS-M) in a sample of 202 adults belonging to the states of Nuevo León and Yucatan, Mexico, with an average age of 28 years (DE = 9.57). Its convergent validity was obtained through the Spirituality and Leisure Coping Belief Scales (LCBS-M) about their leisure activities. Both scales, the Spirituality and the LCBS-M, gave evidence of convergent validity. Following an analysis of competition of models, a factorial structure similar to the original model was obtained. This model includes the same three dimensions and 20 items; two items less than the original model. The results revealed that the Mexican adaptation maintained an adequate degree of reliability on a general scale.
