Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of the Clinical Method of Legal Education of Law

Abstract

The inside and outside visions of law have not given answer to the challenges that the schools and faculties of law must face in the education of legal professionals. The andragogic models used in legal education in Colombia, have not managed to overcome the critics that the pedagogy have formulated. The Clinical Method of Legal Education sets out as a methodology that will surpass these errors and contribute with the education of integral professionals. The present article exhibits its theoretical and pedagogical foundations from the analysis of its theoretical and methodological principles. It is concluded that it is necessary to consolidate a methodology of legal education that allows the formation of virtuous professionals: The Clinical Method in legal education, a set of theoretical and methodological paradigms that contributes with important elements to this matter.
