An approach to Colombia’s political culture from the contemporary debate of democracy

Abstract

This paper focuses on the Colombian political culture from a study done by the Observatorio de Medios de la Universidad de la Sabana between February and July 2011. The intention is to present the main results and methodology of the study, and from these, to propose a debate about the main theoretical categories of political culture. These categories are derived from the concept of a wider and more integral democracy that goes beyond just the electoral scope.
