The use of ICT in judicial procedures: a proposal for online justice

Abstract
The evolution of computers and telecommunications has significantly expanded human interaction by providing more efficient communication channels, with greater geographic reach and more effective in some cases. The alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as negotiation, mediation and arbitration, among others, have taken advantage of these characteristics, especially in Europe and United States, giving rise to a new area of study: ODR, Online Dispute Resolution, but this mechanisms have been tangentially and little used by the justice system, such as the ability to review online the advance of the judicial procedures, which is why, as product of discussions around the technology needed for a deepening use of Information Technology and Communications ICTs in conflict resolution, we present an aggressive deployment of these technologies in four stages of gradual implementation of online services for the judicial procedures that would lead eventually to a true online justice system
