The legal implications of the research on human genetics

Abstract

The science and the technology, through research and experimentation, have been reaching more and more, and with an amazing speed, a high degree of development which continues deciphering the mysteries on the origin of life. This article describes some subjects of special relevance for the biolaw: an introduction to this subject, the current condition of the genetic manipulation, the Human Genome Project and the legal statute of the embryo; and it asks for a legal framework destined to put in order the performance of the scientific community, looking forward to establish possible solutions to legal conflicts derived from such vertiginous scientific and technological advances.
