Abstract
The common law system works based in the stare decisis principle, which warrants a certain level of law predictability for the decisions taken at tribunals; however, such procedural principle of law is not an inexorable command, because the General Principles of Law establish if an specified precedent, based on the stare decisis practice, must be maintained, reinterpreted or changed, due to the fact that this principles constitute law.
