The judicial precedent in Colombia: An analysis from the theory of law

Abstract

The article characterizes the different normative statements that are used in Colombia in order to express the duty to apply the judicial precedents. Also the elements and characteristics of the legal norms that prescribe such duty are analyzed, using the very language of the Theory of Law. It intends, therefore, to expose in a comprehensive way ‘the being of the judicial precedent in Colombia’.
