The moral aspect of social movements occurred in Brazil from 2013

Abstract

Taking as a starting point the movements that occurred in Brazil after 2013, initially fought vigorously by the public power, we will try to trace the aspects, Materials and, perhaps, Morais, that have leapfrogged these conflicts. Using as a guide Axel Honneth's work "Fight for Recognition: the moral grammar of social conflicts", where the application of law becomes a fundamental rule for the achievement of self-respect, and resorting to other renowned authors, In order to parallel its work with the reality established in the country from these events, we will differentiate the concepts of "Groups" and "Social Movements". Once these parameters have been traced, we will try to demonstrate if what happened in Brazil in 2013, with the massive targeting of the population on the streets, was able to form a single Social Movement, or individual "Social Movements", concurrent, or, still, only disorderly manifestos of diverse sectors of the society. We know that the Democratic process develops in several ways, where "Social Movements" can be considered as forms of its expression. The way in which these manifestations occurred in our country during the period covered, makes clear the political strength that popular manifestoes have, drawing guidelines and new directions for national policies. Even before prosecuting the question, the popular force can dictate political paths, but we must consider that when these political actors are inactive, when they do not fulfill their political and legal role, these individuals are also subject to coercive measures imposed by the which they represent. It is in this context that "Access to the Judiciary" appears as an element of control, a position that apparently was not frequent in our Courts and has been taking shape in more regular judicialization of political issues with the collaboration of all levels, Executive, Legislative and Judiciary.
