Abstract

The relationship between esthetics, Bible and theology gets us in touch with a universe which has much to say about the substance of esthetics in the world. Starting from the concrete expression of ordinary things and the materiality of the Hebrew experience till de interpretation of the Christian fact focused on beautifulness (the pulchrum), it is possible to light up the esthetic dimension of our time. Such dimension not only has been exiled to the future of a discipline barely inaugurated in modern times but has also forgotten the value of beauty as a tool of assumption and interpretation of the world, a world which we see characterized very often by a negative side as a dubious and disordered taste.
