Comunicación is a peer-reviewed, open-access, biannual scientific journal published by the Faculty of Social Communication and Journalism, part of the School of Social Sciences at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Medellín, Colombia). The journal publishes original research articles and reflection papers that contribute to the understanding of communication phenomena from interdisciplinary perspectives, with particular emphasis on communication, journalism, the social sciences, and the humanities. Its mission is to promote the dissemination and scholarly discussion of scientific knowledge among national and international academic communities through the publication of high-quality research. All content is freely and immediately available under an open-access model. The journal is published and funded by the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, does not charge article processing or publication fees (APCs), and does not carry advertising.
