Abstract

Food non-attendance is a current issue in Colombia, due to its socioeconomic conditions and cultural practices; however, there is not much material known about the research development of the experiences of parents who conciliate and regulate the food quota. The objective of the present research is to understand the experience of food non-attendance in parents of children from 7 to 9 years old of the Unidad de Planeamiento Zonal (Upz) Garcés Navas of the locality of Engativá, Bogotá D.C. It is a qualitative phenomenological study, with a final sample of 10 in-depth interviews conducted in a public institution of the locality of Engativá (Bogotá D.C.). It was identified that the most significant experiences for parents who are involved in the conciliation and regulation of child support are in the context of interpersonal relationships. In conclusion, the experiences linked to the conciliation and regulation of child support payments by parents is a research topic that requires more attention from researchers in Colombia.
