Abstract
This article is derived from the research: “Preliminary study of the families of Antioquia beliefs system”. This article presents the findings on beliefs about emotions in the Antioquia families, seen as the affective-emotional dimension, which constitutes one of the four dimensions or categories established for analyzing part of the beliefs system in families of this region. In that dimension the beliefs of the different members of the family were taken into account, all socioeconomic levels and different family typologies, and the seven emotions defined as universal: affection, fear, rage, anger, sadness, joy and hate.
