Ethology and clinic of community-acquired low anger in 100 children studied at the hospital level

Abstract

The etiology of community acquired lower acute respiratory Infection was studied in one hundred hospitalized children, 84% of the group were 2 years old or younger. In forty eight of the cases 56 associated microorganisms were Identified, respiratory syncitial virus was Identified In 43.95% of the cases, followed by S. pneumoniae 13.3%, H. Influenzae 12.9% (In a selected group of cases), M. pneumoniae 3.22%, B. pertussis 3.19%, virus Influenza A 1.04% y S. aureus 1%. Mlxed Infectlons were documented in 16.4% of the patlents. Cllnlcal and radiological characteristics were related with each one of the pathogens, therapeutic recommendations are made including antibiotic usage.
