To know and power or the look that knows

Abstract

This short paper reflects on the interesting relationship that Michel Foucault arises between the formations of knowledge and practices or devices of power, through the particular case of the clinic and the medical practice. In fact, this case brings elements of relationship in the purpose of making the man both an object of study and a variable to control. The medicine brings in a central concept to clarify the relationship between knowledge and power, namely, the concept of gaze, although it is necessary to recognize the transformation of the same according to the mode of implementation.
