Abstract
Epictetus, the Stoic philosopher –II century B.C.– presents his ethical vision in his discourse on Beauty. The Socratic precepts: Gnothi seauton and epiméleia seautou are his cornerstones but he wonderfully complements them with his own Adorn thyself. This essay is a vision in which Ethics and Esthetics are beautified by Cosmetics.
