Abstract

The article, based on a Michel Foucault’s development: the actuality–since XVIII century until today- of the liberal strategies of power for the population government, he makes a reflection about the nowadays school. He argues that democracy, as visible concretion of those strategies of power, involves specific processes in the school which are named here, provisionally, like the transit from one disciplined school to another conflicting, violent, therapeutic, and with lack of authority, it means, and undisciplined one. But, and it is the main argument, nowadays, more than to invoke majors levels of freedom and democracy for the school, it is necessary to recognize the subjection ways of that democratic liberalism, and with it, maybe, to propose other ways to be in the school and the society.
