Abstract

This article deals with the global picture given by the exegetical studies published recently on Mc 2, 1- 12. The study shows that critical history, the Formegeschichte and the history of the writing of this passage formulate its complexity breaking it into two narratives: the narrative of a healing (vv. 1-5, 11-
12) and the narrative of a controversy (vv. 6-10). The author proposes the complexity of the text asking us to understand v. 10 related to the Son of Man as a theologoumenon. Besides that the verses have a strong Christological meaning in the gospel of Mark as they are closely related to the Passion narratives and to the kerygma that flows from titles such as the Son of Man, the accusation of blasphemy (Cf. 2,7 and 7; 14:62-64) as well as key sentences where the doctrine of justification by sola fide is expressed (as it is the case in: «Son, your sins have been pardoned»).
