Followers of Jesus of Nazareth, men and women alike: a problem of identity

Abstract

This article presents a contribution to the research of clarity and identity of the follower of Jesus. It wants to be an answer to the invitation coming from the working document preparing the 5th Latin American Conference of Bishops: «Let us deepen the biblical and theological contents of our condition as disciples and missionaries». The fundamental connotations expressed in the synoptic traditions are the basis we need to conjecture the identity and the mission of the follower of Jesus.
