Abstract

Teenage pregnancy is a social issue that affects the well-being of young women and their families, impacting their educational, social, and economic development. In response to this situation, the Mayor’s Office of Rionegro implemented the CreeSiendo strategy, led by the Social Manager, with the goal of strengthening families and preventing unplanned teenage pregnancies. This study analyzes the results of two interventions developed within the framework of this strategy, based on a pre- and post-intervention analysis
applied to the target groups. A literature review on teenage pregnancy prevention
programs is also presented, highlighting success factors and challenges. It concludes
that public intervention efforts in this area contribute to young people making informed
decisions about their future.
