Abstract

Here, dear reader, you will first find a brief overview of the history of La Sierra, understood from its multiple dimensions and not solely from the worn-out and simplistic perspective of violence. Then, you will find a theoretical approach to the concepts that permeate the experience of the Forum for Memory and Human Rights and, more generally, human life: territory, memory, remembrance, and its fragmentation. These concepts will also be explored in two narratives written by the Humanist Thought team, the core of this publication, which incorporate collages created by students of the Colegio Maestro La Sierra Educational Institution (narrative I) and selected and refined products from the workshops (narrative II).
