What do we understand by "being a doctor"

Abstract

Physicians mission as a vocational commitment to the human being, in the health field, and its goals as a cooperative work toward personal development and self-fulfillment are stated. These vocational 90a15, from Hippocratic or scientific medicine surge, require, scientific and technical knowledge to know rationally "what to do and how and why to do it". This leads to treat a patient as an individual with certain therapy for a particular disease, with all its personal and social implications. Both human and technical elements are essential to the physician. If the human element is missing he becomes a barbarous well documented. If technical elements are missing the medial act becomes a fallacy.
