Comprehensive adolescent care. Comments on 528 patients

Abstract

Findings in 528 patients studied at the Adolescent Unit, University of Antioquia, department of Pediatrics (University Hospital San Vicente de Paúl), Medellin, Colombia, are reviewed. The comprehensive approach followed in this Unit, is described and the different family, social and personal factors triggering the Adolescence in this particular group are analyzed. Furthermore, the diagnosis charts and follow-up of the adolescent returning for control are tabulated. The most frequent cause to come to the consult was the adjustment reaction of the adolescence with a 51.5% of incidence.
