Abstract
As a tribute on the occasion of his recent death, Communication journal publishes in this issue the manuscript "Globalization and multiculturalism", by the professor Jesús Martín Barbero, which was originally published in 1998, when this journal was a printed medium. From contemporary society, Professor Germán Rey rereads, presents and problematizes the text of his former colleague.
