El activismo digital. La tecnología a favor de la transformación social

Abstract
The research presented aims to characterize cyberactivism on Facebook, from the digital communication dynamics of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement. This movement born the September 17, 2011 and inspired by Los Indignados (15M) of Spain and the Arab Spring, is chosen for having great impact on social networks: has spread to over 100 cities from United States, 1.500 in the world and has over 416,000 followers on his Facebook page.
The research methodology takes into account the virtual ethnography, content analysis and virtual structured interviews. The results obtained with the three tools allow us to observe that through the social network Facebook the movement OWS communicates directly, quickly and globally with his followers. Likewise, users through the social network, approve, comment and share information; achieving an instant, digital and global communication, allowing the organization, maintenance and expansion of the movement.
