Abstract

The following paper aims to expose the way in which the medieval imaginary regarded the body of women, arguing that at that time men considered it to be evil itself. The paper exposes the main ideas surrounding the conception of woman as the physical representation of sin and it emphasizes in the influence exerted by the Catholic Church in such an imaginary.
