Abstract

The following paper introduces the concept of friendship as a political virtue and exposes its importance within Aristotle’s philosophical theory. The paper is, then, divided in two sections. The research paper is based on Aristotle’s Politics and Nicomachean Ethics and on several academic papers which cover this particular topic. The paper aims to give room to values which might strengthen social cohesion and the healthy development of politics, and which might be elements to consider in the actual analysis of such topics.
