Abstract

Among the challenges facing universities today is internationalization. Overcoming an overly localized view of professional practice requires us to rethink the pros and cons of academic writing in an inevitably globalized world. Far from reducing the matter to market forces, we wish to propose this reflection in this issue of our journal, Humanist Thought, from a perspective that shifts our view of ourselves. We are no longer exclusively subjects of a country, a nation, or a region. We are subjects of a changing, contingent, and undeniably virtual era.
