Cáncer broncogénico. Presentación de 95 casos

Abstract

In La Maria Hospital from 250 clinic records with suspicious diagnostic of lung cancer, 95 of them were found with a certain diagnostic by pathologic anatomy from July 1983 to July 1986.


This type of pathology was more frequently found in men (70) than women (25).


The greatest incidence was around 60 years old (rank: 32 - 78), most of them were farmers (60) and housekeepers (25).


The squamous cell type was the most frequently found (54), followed by the undifferentiated od little cells (19) percentage.


Hiliar and peripheral were the radiological evidences in most of the cases (52), in the right lung (48) and in the main bronchial tubes (60).


The growing frequency of this neoplasm among our and its hard prognosis justify the effects to advance in the understanding of the problem and its handling, diagnosis and treatment.
