Abstract
Sexting is the exchange of information through images, messages, or videos with sexual content via electronic devices. Studies on this topic from a positive perspective are scarce, as most research approaches it from a legal standpoint and in relation to psychological risks. In this regard, a quantitative and correlational study was conducted with 970 university students to analyze sexting behavior and subjective well-being. The Sexting Behavior Scale (ECS) and the Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PNA-10) were used. Associations between positive and negative affect and sexting were observed, and findings suggest that men are more inclined than women to engage in sexting. However, no gender
differences were found in emotional expression or actual sexting behavior.
