Abstract

This paper appears as a greater opening sequence studies on the effects of the com- bination of a Latin American association scheme (The Pacific Alliance) and others trade liberalization agreements in force since previous times to the cited integration mechanism. The author proposes a review of the theory of alliances and approaches, from a basic statistical course, what has been the reality of the Pacific Alliance (PA) for Colombia, once formalized in 2012. In its final section, after establishing a di-   rect, albeit succinct assessment of the issue for Colombia, the text concludes that the country is not receiving the benefits suggested by theory. On the contrary, this work highlights the existence of a decline in the trade balance between Colombia and the other members of the alliance. The relationship with Mexico remains uneven and very worrying for the country correspondence. The business relationship with Chile and Peru, although damaged, is less profound in its involvement when compared to the Central American country.
