Abstract

In this paper we suggest elements that are necessary for a fruitful dialogue between literature and social sciences at the university level. It starts by explaining the nature of literature and literary work and its importance in the context of life as language experience, knowledge, imagination, beauty and reading. On this basis, literary reading parameters leading to an exercise of textual interpretation linked to reflection, research and creativity are set. All this to propose how it could be dealt with the teaching of literature in the training of professionals, especially in the field of social disciplines that have man at the center of their different knowledge.
