Considerations on poverty in democratic societies: strategies based on political culture and citizenship

Abstract

A reflective, comprehensive and critical look at the phenomenon of poverty is provided, based on own research and publications and from other sources, from an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspective. Poverty, vulnerability, exclusion, democracy, citizenship, aporophobia, intersectionality, education, culture and politics will be named; that emerge as analysis categories of interest in research and social interventions for Social Work and Social Sciences. The idea was developed that poverty is associated with other concomitant phenomena that are triggers that weaken democracy.
