Abstract

The article presents some results of the research on diverse problems conducted in 38,766 patients who have been treated at the Center for the Family of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana of Medellin, between 2000 and 2010. The design used was quantitative. Information was taken from the clinical history and then it was migrated to an Information System for the Administration and Management of Clinical Records that was in turn processed using SPSS. The largest frequency of patients seeking for advice attends between 1 and 4 appointments. The highest percentage ends due to partial or total fulfillment of objectives and according to reasons for consultation, 51.8% corresponds to the marital system, 48.2% to the parental system, and 33% to individual situations.
