Sweet's syndrome and polyarthritis. A case

Abstract

This publication gathers in a useful and simple form the most excellent aspects of the Acute Febrile Neutrophilic Dermatosis, also denominated Sweet's Syndrome, illness that clinically presents itself with the abrupt appearance of fever, neutrophilia and multiple painful cutaneous papules located on head, neck and extrernities. It shares an imponant relationship with hematological malignancy, systemic symptoms and is highly responsive to oral glucocorticoid therapy. The case of a 36 years old female patient with diagnosis of Sweet's Syndrome, quite illustrative of the natural evolution of the illness and the phenomena related with it, standing out the joint involvement, will be presented and discussed.
