Updating cardiopulmonary resuscitation guidelines for health workers

Abstract

This review presents the updated guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the American HeanAssociation, focused to healthcare providers and are based on the evidence evaluation from the 2005 consensus.
These recommendations replace the 2000 guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, designed to improve survival from sudden cardiac arrest and acute life-threatening cardiopulmonary events in the adult population.
