Acute hepatitis as a manifestation of primary HIV infection. Case report
Main Article Content
Abstract
Acute retroviral syndrome is a manifestation of primary Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection that presents with nonspecific signs and symptoms, often occurring months before a diagnosis is confirmed through immunological testing. Recognizing the clinical manifestations and laboratory findings associated with this syndrome enhances suspicion and increases the likelihood of an early diagnosis, leading to timely treatment. We present the case of a patient who exhibited acute hepatitis as a manifestation of primary HIV infection.
