Abstract
In the most recent issue of this journal, the study entitled "Breast papillary lesions: clinical-pathological study and overprognosis in 144 cases from Medellín, Colombia" was published, where an excellent approach to this type of lesion is made. It is known that papillary lesions of the breast are rare entities in daily practice, with a representation of 10% of benign entities and only 1% of malignant entities. Its usual clinical manifestation is serosanguineous, unilateral secretion, without palpable masses and in imaging studies they usually show as single or multiple retroareolar lesions. The anatomopathological diagnosis is not easy in puncture studies, either with a fine needle or a thick needle and, in general, excision of the lesion is required to obtain a more accurate diagnosis.
