Abstract

A prevalence study of HBV infection markers was performed on 762 health workers adscribed to Medellin Public Institutions. Discontinuous contrainmunelectrophoresis (CEP) and immune-enzymatic assay (EIA) were used. The results for any of the markers were positive up to 24.01% and susceptible up to 74.41%. The association of infection markers to occupatiori, working site and age was confirmed.
