Abstract

A view of the content of Prenatal Care Is presented. A review of the state of knowledge on this topic at the beginning of the twentieth century, a remind of the classic contributions of Ballantyne and Williams, in 1901 and 1915. Some commentaries are presented about the origin of the external services of prenatal care In Medellin, on the third decade of this century.
