Abstract

The mechanisms of cell lesion, the production, transport and consuption of oxygen and C02 and the defense process are discussed In order to improve the management of patient in shock. The above mentioned considerations permit an optimum approach of the splanchnic perfusion and the prevention of the bacterial translocation to avoid the multisystemic failure.
