Abstract

Atopic dermatitis is an intensively pruritic chronic cutaneous inflamatory condition, that usually occurs on children with a personal or family history of one or more of these diseases, such asthma, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, or atopic dermatitis. This is a skin disease, with an important component of genetic predisposition and unknown cause. The pathogenesis, clínical and histologic features, diagnostic criteria, differential diagnosis and treatrnent modalities is discussed on this artide.
