Abstract

This report resumes in a simple and useful language thephysiopathology of type 2 diabetes, the mechanism by which insulin controls the homeostasis of glucose, its relationship with the metabolic syndrome and the form of development of insulin resistance, using this knowledge there wiil be a easier understanding of the molecular alterations which explain this illness.
