The hospital as a healing center

Abstract

An analysis about the antropologic sense that had the hospitalary institution, at its beginning, it is done on this study. Hospitalary institution was born on the year 360 in Ceasarea from Capadocia. Hospital's principal mission was the unconditional help to the human being, above race, disease or economic position. The mission was inspired on the charity phylosophy of Jesus Christ. Although at this moment the hospital concept refers to a place of human, technical and scientist sources for fighting human disease; then it is very important do not forget that a hospital must to give an integral medical treatment, it means to consider human as a soul and body compaet fussion. The principal hospital mission- its ethos- as well as the physician principal mission (the ethos) both became responsable in solidum of the human existence for helping with a complete life project realization.
