The prisoner Nariño and a medical concept of Jose Celestino Mutis

Abstract
We present a short essay based on a report written by the scholar José Celestino Mutis (Director of the Botanical Expedition) and other physicians, in 1803, on the prisoner's health condition Don Antonio Nariño, imprisoned because of his translation of'' rights of man and Citizen. "He makes a comment about thinking physicians systematic early nineteenth century, in the final years of the viceroyalty of New Granada, influenced by the teachings of Herman Boerhaave clinics.
