Abstract
The purpose of this article is to argue that it is possible to describe the structures of human societies and their institutions—and, among these, the political ones—from the conception inaugurated by Wittgenstein that considers language and action as constitutive of meaning. With language and ac- tion, as will be shown, human beings grammaticize the world and attach ontological characteristics to its components, creating social and political institutions. The article allows us to conclude that the perspective of analysis from language and action broadens the understanding of the foundations of social institutions. The method consisted of an interpretive analysis of some concepts.
