Abstract

The research titled “Alimentación y buen trato en niños y niñas de 44 municipios de Antioquia y su incidencia en las prácticas alimentarias en 2006”, takes as main source of information the diaries of 430 girls and boys between the ages of 8 and 13 years. The diaries tell of the interactions of between boys and girls with their significant adults, around the daily nourishing techniques. It is an applied investigation project in which the search for information was done at the same time that the psycho-social intervention was made. This investigation tries to identify psychological, social and cultural representations about feeding and good dealings. It was found during the analysis process thatfor children the feeding process was not only a biological practice but in essence a social and cultural practice that tie and unties affective and social bonds.
