Historical Evolution and Ethical Projections of the Code of Ethics for Social Work in Colombia: Analysis from the National Council of Social Work (CNTS)

Abstract
For the development of this article, the regulatory history of the Code of Ethics for Social Work in Colombia was analyzed, identifying milestones, tensions, and gaps. A documentary review was conducted of the archives of the Consejo Nacional de Trabajo Social (CNTS), as well as articles and books that mentioned the code of ethics and ethics in the profession. This review revealed that challenges persist in terms of union participation and legislative regulation. The CNTS proposed a transition to a Deontological Code that strengthens ethical commitment and professional regulation.
