Experiences regarding different types of school dropouts in teenager

Abstract
This research aims to investigate the various experiences of school dropout in adolescence, which is understood as a complex human process involving internal conflicts that can lead to poor decisions and subsequently impact overall development. Therefore, the primary objective of this study was to analyze the experiences and reasons for school dropout among students in a public institution. This research follows a qualitative approach, employing a phenomenological paradigm that facilitates the analysis of the experiences reported by the adolescent participants. The study’s population comprised 33 students from the basic secondary school of an educational institution located in the municipality of La Apartada, Córdoba. The sample was non-probabilistically selected, considering specific research criteria, and consisted of 9 students. Data was collected through interviews with open-ended questions. The analysis revealed various factors contributing to adolescent school dropout, including social, cultural, family, and economic influences.
