Autonomy, subsistence, and sustainability: betting on rural women even in hostile contexts
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research documents the collective action of rural women oriented towards the development of their autonomy, as well as restoring the sustainability of their livelihoods. Their proposals are based on a agro-ecological framework foucused on recuperating the production systems and the construction of small assets, where, they have claimed the place of property and resource owners of what was not previously theirs, through monetary and non-monetary strategies... This has influenced changes to favor women’s autonomy development processes, which can be read at the individual, productive, family, collective levels, as well as in the permanence in the territory.
