Estratégias de Prevenção do Suicídio

Resumo

 A prevenção do suicídio é um imperativo global, entretanto, a disseminação de medidas universais, seletivas e indicadas não são suficientes sem evidências de sua eficácia. Esta revisão visa mostrar estratégias de saúde pública para a prevenção do suicídio, outras que já são úteis e alguns programas multicomponentes que têm dado resultados nesse sentido. O estudo do suicídio é relevante, mas não é possível estabelecer um único modelo preditivo, portanto, estratégias de saúde pública devem ser implementadas com base nas características culturais, demográficas, sociais e econômicas do ambiente. As políticas de prevenção do suicídio ao redor do mundo contemplam diversas medidas, mas é necessária a implementação daquelas que são mais efetivas em cada contexto. Além disso, os atores sociais devem reconhecer e promover as recomendações sobre o tema para a efetividade da prevenção.
